Im trying to get my xbox one controller to work with steam/gta iv i've downloaded the drivers from major nelson's blog installs fine pc recognizes it controller lights up and rumble when ii plug it in to a usb port i've uninstalled and re installed the drivers multiple times still doesn't work somebody said to plug it in and steam will automatically install additional software if needed. Important notes. there is no need to place x360ce.exe inside the game folder. you can keep single copy at one place on your pc.. for example: c:program filesx360cex360ce.exe do not close xbox 360 controller emulator during the game, just minimise it to reduce cpu use.. make sure your game is set to use xinput devices.. for example: in "tom clancy's ghost recon wildlands" you have to set.
